Harry Littman was Willa's first husband, and the father of her daughter Jill. When I was in my early teens, Harry often let me/encouraged me to do things my parents wouldn't have approved of (e.g. I drove on the NJ Turnpike at about age 13). Jill now lives in South Florida, so we've had a little contact with her (and I have a picture of her somewhere to add to my 1st cousin collection). Harry eventually also moved to South Florida, and had a wine bar in Fort Lauderdale, but died about 3 years ago.
At some point, Harry sold cameras for a living, at one of the big midtown camera stores (I think he did that a lot). He loaned me a very small Minolta camera, and I took the first picture I ever took, in a taxi on our way to an amusement park in NY. Here's the picture, it is of Larry, with Betti Joy looking on at the left.

Harry Edward Fisher, 1929-2009 (Various Places and Times)
My father died peacefully today in his assisted-living apartment in Miami, after a long illness. He was about 2 months short of his 80th birthday. Below are a lot of pictures from his earlier life, in no particular order. I'll add more, including some more recent ones, tomorrow. There already are 15 entries with pictures of him elsewhere in this blog.
At Annie's wedding.
When he was younger, he was an avid stamp collector.
At the Vincent Apartments, where we lived 1952-1960.
In Miami Beach with his father, who died there a short time after. This must be from the early 1970s.
With Annie and Sam, also at their parents' apartment at 8400 Harding Ave, in Miami Beach.

Marci and Larry (various places and times)
The two oldest of my 19 first cousins were born when I was about nine years old: Betty's son Larry, and Rae's daughter Marci (Cousin #15/Rae's #1). I saw a lot of both of them at first, but I saw little of Marci after she was very small, since I was in Syracuse and Rae at some point moved to California. I continued to see a lot of Larry, since he has always lived in the NY area, and I stayed with Betty a lot when I was a teenager racing off to NYC at every opportunity. Here is Marci with Elizabeth just before my parents' 50th anniversary party.
And Marci and Larry with their mothers. I believe that Larry was born in the fall of 1954, and I would guess he's a little over two here.
And Larry, with his wife Judy, at our house in Woodbridge, sometime in the mid-to-late 1980s.

Mary Mutz (Mostly Lincoln, NE, Various Dates)
On Saturday we received the sad news of the death of Elizabeth's Aunt Mary. Mary was married to Elizabeth's mother's brother, Ster. We stayed with them a few times on our trips to Nebraska in the 1970s. Mary was a delight, and we loved her company. (Ster, who was an engineer for Cushman, the big golf cart company, died tragically in 1972. He was a volunteer fireman, and was speeding down a 2-lane to go to a fire. The person whose house was on fire was speeding the other way to get help and passed on a hill, crashed into Ster, and killed him.)
Here's Mary doing one of her most favorite things:
Mary and Stir's house in Lincoln, probably from the 1960s:
We've gotten to know Mary & Stir's daughter Suzy and her husband Jerry some over the years. Here are Dora and Jerry, probably in Jessica's pool.
